We now have transportation for Gabe, thanks Bill Bailey!
Here's the end of season tournament information and from what I can tell on the MBA master schedule, we're reserved for 6-8 pm, June 27-30 either at Bennett 1 or Freeman 2 and July 1 either 4-6 pm or 6-8 pm at Bennett 1. I'll send updates as soon as I receive. Thanks!
Hey Coaches,
I have information regarding this season’s end of the year In-House Tournament. At the bottom of the page, I’ve included links for the brackets and Tourney Machine for 12/13 and 14/15 community leagues. You can share with your teams so they have an understanding of potential games. The games are all loaded on the MBA website under the Master Schedule Tab but not under the individual team schedule tab. The games start on Monday, June 27th and run through Friday, July1st. The games will be visible in the Tourney Machine App and the tournament should be published in the app at this time.
This year, as in the past, Marty and I have chosen a random seeding of teams in the bracket for both 12/13 and 14/15 leagues. This provides all teams a chance to advance in their respective tournament no matter what their regular season record may be. Based on the number of teams and field availability, the 12/13 tournament is set up as a single elimination tournament. Since the 14/15 league only has six teams the tournament is set up as a double elimination tournament.
The tournament rules will follow the MBA rules on the website of the respective leagues, both the 12/13 and 14/15 leagues will have a 130 pitch limit for a player for the tournament, 65 pitches per game and 90 pitches per day. (games 6/27 – 7/1).
During the tournament, you can email Brandon Newman (tonkafallbaseball@gmail.com) game results (provide game reference, age group, team names, final score and pitch count/innings pitched per player). Do Not record scores in the MBA website, it will all be recorded and updated by Brandon in Tourney Machine. Please send your game information to Brandon by 9pm or as soon as your game is finished that evening to ensure that Tourney Machine can be updated before the next day. Coaches are responsible for letting families know of the next scheduled game time and location - the team sites on the MBA website will not be updated by the league, but families will be able to follow the tournament on Tourney Machine.
Good Luck to everyone and have fun in the tournament!
Best,
Derek Nelson
12/13 & 14/15 Community Leader
